Finance Officer
The role includes all bookkeeping and production of monthly management accounts, and annual accounts in conjunction with the Chair. Support in the preparation of annual budgets with the Chair and liaison with the Trustees in other financial matters.
Would suit someone who is used to working flexibly, on their own initiative, copes effectively with managing workloads and deadlines, remains positive, reflective and is pro-active in the face of challenges.
A good communicator with strong numeracy skills and excellent organisational skills.

Legal & Policy Officer
The Legal Policy Officer will perform a key role in supporting projects overseas.
They will update and develop Swimtayka’s Policies Index, support the development and coordination of SwimTayka’s strategic litigation strategy, and support law and policy development across our priority thematic areas (children’s rights, access to justice, forced displacement and anti-discrimination).
The postholder will be required to liaise with our Partner Organisations to monitor and support their work whilst ensuring laws in both countries are abided by and that our policies do not contradict any laws.
The role requires an individual capable of thinking strategically while being hands-on on a day-to-day basis. The successful candidate will have a legal background with experience working in a similar role in an NGO environment, and be able to demonstrate an aptitude to successfully perform the various facets of the role, ranging from legal analysis and research to support strategic litigation, briefing advocacy targets or galvanising member participation.
The candidate will be highly articulate in English (other languages are an asset) with good IT skills and able to effectively manage and work within networks and coalitions. The candidate will be contributing positively to our organisational ethos, be able to demonstrate a flexible and entrepreneurial ‘can do’ approach and fit well into a challenging environment with an international dimSwimTaykaion.

Campaign Manager
Swim Tayka is looking for a volunteer to help steer it in the right direction for campaigning, ensuring that the charities campaigning is diverse and can involve a range of activities from lobbying decision-makers to direct action to raise issues in the media.
Are you someone who can work with communities and individuals giving SwimTayka a unique insight into the issues that are being faced and coming up with possible solutions. Scoping out the ground for a campaign and be sure that the aims of the organisation can be successfully achieved?
We are after someone who can clearly identify end goals, understand the likelihood of success, understand what are the resources necessary to achieve the goal and being clear on how the goal relates to it achieving the SwimTayka charitable purpose.

Fundraiser
The role includes ensuring that funds are obtained from reputable sources for the right reasons, ensuring that those who need help and guidance in raising funds, receive support, as well as boosting SwimTayka funds to ensure we have the funding to carry out all the projects planned for the current year.
Charities and not not-for-profit organisations rely on donations and funding and in Swim Tayka’s case rely on volunteers to fill such roles. It’s not just about shaking tins and buckets.

Strategic Planning Officer
Strategic planning identifies where SwimTayka wants to be at a point in the future and how it is going to get there. The “strategic” part of this planning process is the continual attention to current changes in SwimTayka and its external environment, and how this affects the future of SwimTayka.
