An exciting opportunity for SwimTayka! Outdoor Swimmer Magazine and Compete Impossible have teamed up to raise money for SwimTayka. For every mile that you swim in June and July, £1 will be donated to SwimTayka.
On Friday 14th August at 5:09 am a team of six swimmers swam from Shakespeare’s beach in Dover, England with the epic challenge of swimming all the way to France.
A tremendous team effort. The weather was bleak, and the jellyfish were out in their swarms, but the sea was glassy, and they flew across.
We have a date for our Channel Relay Swim and we are just a tiny bit excited. Subject to the right weather conditions we will be heading out of Dover and towards France on the 18th August under the watchful eye of the amazing Eddie Spelling onboard Anastasia Love Swimming The Channel

Crossing by night. the moon underlines the dark breathing and swelling masses. We swam with luminescent sparkles. A night was magnifying perceptions while at the same time losing the sense of space and time.
Victoria Dolceamore, of Margate, attempted to swim the English Channel last week as part of a relay team, but they did not make it to France because one of the swimmers had a stroke as a result of a seizure while swimming.
