You could be in, Peru in January or February where you will be working closely with our Drowning Prevention Volunteers, or join in the
volunteer programme serving the needs women and children living in Huanchaco and surrounding shantytowns. Or the HELP programs improve literacy, environmental education, sports, and girl empowerment. Another partner is Boqueron Surf School, one of many surf schools in Huanchaco with the unique mission to teach the poorest children surfing as a life skill. Together, you will implement the SwimTayka training programme in drowning prevention, lifesaving training and environmental education.
The Peru SwimTayka project has a minimum fundraising target of £ 1,100 for volunteers to achieve. This can pay for your ground transport and accommodation expenses whilst also supporting the local charity that runs your chosen programme, (breakdown below). We can include flights in the fundraising target, which is an additional £ 900 (estimate depending on route and dates)
We understand it may be very daunting when you think about raising a big-money target but don’t worry; we have lots of ideas and experience to support you all the way to reaching your target amount. Your donation is needed for you to participate and is different depending on the location you chose.
If you are ready to participate, simply reply to this email and tell us in a few words why you want to participate, where you are from and how we can contact you.
You will receive a SwimTayka application form via email shortly, please complete this form as we need to ensure the safety of our children and programmes.
